  How do I properly use PDFs for SEO?

  Right now we have PDFs embedded into a blog post. But it looks like Google can’t crawl the embedded PDFs. Is there a way to embed the PDF and have it be crawlable or do I have to link to my PDFs location on the server and direct them to the PDF file itself?

  PDFs are evil. Don’t use them.

  This is solely based on UX. They are a terrible experience on mobile, and locking up content in a PDF on a website limits interaction and value to user.
