How do I add a user to my LinkedIn account so they can send connection messages on my behalf (like my VA)?

You literally need to a) give them your email and password so they can log in as you and then b) send them the one time code that LI will send to you to confirm it’s actually you when they sign in.
You may need to do the one time code thing again if they get signed out for any reason.
And a tip, try not to both be actively engaging on LI from different IP addresses at the same time.
