  • How can I show up higher on Google search?

Posted by vagizzatron on May 22, 2024 at 9:22 pm

Ok, I'm almost ready to give up on my small business. I knew nothing at the start, but managed to buy some branded stock and set up a website with shopify. I've tried my hardest to push the brand on social media. My product is well priced but it's just not getting any traction. I linked Google to the website as per instructions for a couple of products but it doesn't show up near the top. Can wanting advise on how I can get more exposure?

    Thank you in advance

I have to be honest, I don’t know many people who are still getting traction with SEO. The results are so cluttered these days that even a really aggressive strategy is isn’t loud enough to get through.

You said you used social media, but have you tried other kinds of social networks? Its not about *how many* people you reach, but *how many of the people you reach that would buy your product*. You might get more traction by finding smaller networks where you can leverage word-of-mouth, or other, more personal methods of marketing.

To show up higher on Google searches, you can apply some of the following SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies:

High-quality content: Make sure the content on your website is useful, unique, and related to the keywords users search for. Write articles that are detailed and provide real value to readers.

Keywords: Keyword research to identify related keywords that users often search for. Use this keyword naturally in titles, subheads, body copy, and meta tags.

Website Optimization: Make sure your website loads quickly, is mobile-friendly, and has a clear structure. Use title tags (H1, H2, H3), description tags, and SEO-friendly URLs.

Link Building: Create links from other reputable websites back to your website. This can significantly improve your rankings on Google.

User experience: Make sure the site is easy to navigate, has an attractive design, and is free of technical errors. A good user experience will keep users on your site longer, improving bounce rates.

Update content regularly: Regularly update and add new content on your website to keep it fresh and engaging.

Use SEO tools: Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools to monitor your website performance and identify areas for improvement.

Social media: Share your content on social media platforms to increase searchability and generate more traffic to your website.

By applying these strategies, you can improve your website’s ranking on Google search results.

I’d focus on SEO by using keywords your customers would search for. Get some backlinks by collaborating with bloggers or influencers. Make sure your website is fast and mobile-friendly. I’d also update the Google My Business profile. You can also write blog posts about your products to drive traffic. Use Google Ads if you can budget for it. Also, I’d consider some local SEO strategies if you have a physical address.
