How Can I Increase My E-commerce Website’s Traffic?
Posted by Exciting_Parfait_856 on June 25, 2023 at 2:54 pmI’ve had an online shop for a while now, but I’m struggling with driving traffic to my website. Despite my attempts with social media ads, the results have been disappointing.
Any suggestions for boosting traffic?

GuestJune 25, 2023 at 5:05 pmQuality backlinks, well structured website with appropriate h tags, good content for the products that doesn’t sound forced or like a robot. The content must be relevant and so must the back links. You can’t have backlinks from any old website – they must be the in sync with the products.
What is it you’re selling?

GuestJune 25, 2023 at 5:15 pmHard to say without knowing what you sell but backlinks is right. Don’t cheap out – a few, more expensive ones of quality will drive more than dozens of low-traffic.
Think holiday gift guides (at major pubs/blogs) and things like that.
And remember to think big picture – it’s not about the direct sales right after release, it’s about the link and long-range benefit which may not be felt fully for months.

I run a marketplace of marketers so I know the struggle haha. Can you provide some more background on what your website is about, who your current customers are, where you’re getting your current customers from, your budget, etc

GuestJune 25, 2023 at 10:12 pmOne mistake I see a lot is people naming products (in their H1/H2) stuff that no one is searching for. Keep your potential customer in mind. If you were going to buy your product, what would you type into the SERP? Use relevant H1’s & H2’s so your product actually shows up.
I think your efforts are better spent on capturing organic search than social media. At the same time, YouTube can generate traffic, if it’s applicable to your product.
I’d spend time making notes of what keywords I need to rank for and go after those. A blog can be helpful to demonstrate your expertise with said items. However, I wouldn’t just start throwing up content without mapping out the keywords you want to rank for. In addition, what type of articles can you NATURALLY add your products too?

GuestJune 25, 2023 at 10:17 pmIt sounds like you have taken active steps in promoting your e-commerce site. I would suggest a more comprehensive approach towards social media marketing. Beyond simply running ads, there’s a whole array of strategies that can yield more significant results.
For instance, focus on creating engaging content. Good content not only attracts, but it also retains your audience. Experiment with various forms of content like videos, infographics, stories, user-generated content, etc.
Moreover, Ascend Viral’s Instagram growth service can help amplify your efforts. They assist with growing your follower base and improving your engagement. With a larger, more engaged audience on Instagram, you can effectively funnel these individuals towards your website, leading to increased traffic.”
