How can I help my sister that is a dentist and complains a bit how she is non existant on the internet?
Posted by Armauer on December 23, 2022 at 9:35 pmHer website looks like from 1998 and is far far away in Google search results. I can make her new one, but I don’t know much about internet marketing and SEO. There is always an option to hire branding agency, but since I work as front-end developer I thought I could try to help her myself first. Where do you think I should start from? I’ll be grateful for any tips or sources.

GuestDecember 23, 2022 at 10:16 pmAgency SEO lead/content creator with dental industry experience here. Feel free to PM me the website and I’ll see if I can offer guidance.
Here’s where I would start:
– Search intent – who is her target market and what are they looking for? (cosmetic dentistry? Whitening? etc).
– Google Business Profile – set it up ASAP and optimize it (feel free to PM for guidance) this can be a gold mine for service providers like dentists
– Meta data – does each site page have a meta title and description?
– Service pages – is each page easy to read with a clear call to action? I’d recommend a form in the HERO section for dental service pages.
– FAQ page – create a Q and A style site page and try to explain a little more about the company and its services.
– Internal linking – this comes a little later but look up pillar pages and create natural links between content on similar topics.
As i said, PM me any time because this is a lot.

GuestDecember 24, 2022 at 4:06 amManaged to rank one of our clients on top of Google India for 5 years straight.
He runs a dental clinic and has enormous success with digital marketing.
Let me know, if your sister can spend a monthly budget of 350-500 usd per month, for similar success with a minimum commitment of 8 months to start with.

GuestDecember 24, 2022 at 4:46 amUpdate the website. Create service pages for each offering and make sure they are localized for that City, State. Get the Google Business Profile up to date with reviews.
Local SEO for Dentists specifically can vary greatly. If you are in a smaller city lets say like 50k its fairly easy to at least be on the first page. If its a large city like lets say Houston and not a smaller suburb then its rough. If your sister happens to be a specialist like Perio, Endo, Protho, etc it can be slightly easier. The one hard one is dental implants because there is often overlap between the person doing the implant and the one creating the crown.
My first SEO job was for a Dental only marketing company so I actually know quite a bit about this space.

GuestDecember 24, 2022 at 11:59 amThere are a lot of things you could do. The one I would do first is create a Google My Business profile and encourage her to get reviews from all of her patients on Google. That will be the biggest impact and lowest level of effort. Then I would build her a site on WordPress that looks good, loads fast, and has keywords in all the meta titles and descriptions. Also make a page for every service and every location serviced. See how far that gets you and if you want to continue to do better hire an agency but make sure it’s actually a good one. A lot of quacks out there

GuestDecember 24, 2022 at 1:58 pmBe wary of answers from the sub. Research *Local* SEO on your own before making a move.

GuestDecember 24, 2022 at 2:33 pmStart with the new modern website – that’s the right way to do it – after that follow up with some seo, smm, etc. We had a lot of clients like that with new dental offices, where we did all of this and had a decent success (so lmk if you would like to delegate the work instead))

GuestDecember 24, 2022 at 3:46 pmIt’s depend upon your competitor. If there is a lot of competition then there will be hard for your to rank in specific niche. So, you will have to hire an SEO.
