  • How can I get my products seen overseas?

Posted by Sensitive_Mood9987 on July 3, 2024 at 11:35 am

I'm currently selling equipment in the UK that costs anywhere from £3K-20K per item. It's became apparent to me that there are no suppliers of these products in some countries, such as Saudia Arabia, Dubai etc. I've had a couple of enquiries from businesses in these countries looking to buy these products from us, but neither of these ended up going through.

My question is, how can I go about getting my products seen in these countries? Should I have a page written in Arabic targeting those countries explaining that we ship internationally? Should I make a new website for that audience?

    Any advice hugely appreciated!

You could translate pages and target those internationally. Would you need to translate the whole site or would a localised landing page be enough to make a sale?

You would need some local keyword research to maximise visibility in the local markets too.

You could definitely do it, just be conscious of the technical and content issues of international SEO.

(I’m currently working on international optimisation for a major brand in about 140 markets)

Also with those kind of prices, paid ads could be cost effective, but that’s not really my field.

Depends how authority you are rly right now. If you have great backlinks profile etc – you can create location specific pages, optimize them etc. Not sure about translation:) because everyone speaking English… but arabic version will not hurt of course.
IF you are not authority – Just buy a location specific domain and build a new location specific website.

Just my 5 cents – only 10% of searches in the UAE are in Arabic. The number for Saudi will be different, more like 50%+. Make sure you’re clear on how these countries work before you commit significant resource to Arabic SEO specifically.
