We billed a client $43000 and I check our chat lists, we don’t talk much, even though we last talked last month, we basically talk once or twice a month that goes totally fine. And we have another client for $1000 per month, I’m talking to her every day, and sometimes I’m spending hours replying and updating her, just can’t fire them because we have a good friendly relationship.

The cheap people always are a million times more demanding and understand the least this applies to everything go to fast food pay $10 and watch how demanding the humans are then go to a nice restaurant pay $100 for a plate and the customers are friendly and polite

If someone is paying you $4,000+, they probably think you’re good and trust you. Less questions, less interrogation.

If they only pay you $1000 or less, they probably think you’re cheaper, worse, and need more checking on.

I have a 10k client thats always asking questions ?and a $1,500 client that doesn’t ask anything. Just wants a once a month meeting for 30 minutes. I think it just depends on the person.

I’m in the same boat. A client is paying me for 8 hours a week of work and wants to know why their results, after 5 months, aren’t perfect.

This is why we don’t accept clients that are sub $5,000/mon. Most of our clients are ~$120k annually, and we literally never hear from them. Only time we hear from them is if a service they offer is changing, new products, big stuff. No bull shit, probably every other month at the most we hear from them.

Yeah high ticket all the way, it will change your life once you start charging properly, less hassle less work better roi, it’s just great. Don’t let imposter syndrome get you; know your worth, value yourself and be confident and 10x your pricing

On the one hand, it’s good to have a friendship with a client, but on the other hand, friendship often interfere to work moments. And this become a problem. Because it’s getting harder to maintain personal boundaries. You want to help this person. Because you have a good relationship, or maybe you even became friends, and it’s hard to keep up with work responsibility.

The $1000 client is probably a one person/family business with a tight budget while the $ 43k one is a huge ass company – and you’re probably dealing with an employee that doesn’t basically care about company spending.

80/20 rule – Get rid of the cheap clients and prioritize the ones that count the most.

    Following!

Can we discuss this further plz!!! Any advice on how to land clients such as client #1. Is there a process of screening or is it a special niche? It is frustrating that other professionals don’t understand that time is $, time = labor, major results = more $.

I have one client where I literally had to break it down like these are the rules of the internet!!! We don’t control the narrative of Google! People want to be #1 but they don’t want to pay what their competitor is paying to be #1.

Meanwhile I have worked at a company before where they paid $50k a year to an agency that had literally had them looking like a 1999 website ? and charged them for monthly Google analytics reports ??? so many scammers I am tired! Just an emailed PDF!

Any experiences or tips would be appreciated!

Lolz the less a customer pay their expectations are always higher.
The more they pay they can be happy with little. And complain the less.

It is the same in every business.

I am not sure how anyone would want to spaff money up the wall without knowing where it’s going. All this is down to employing incompetent people to monitor the company outgoing.
