    Hey Agency PPC’s, what does a normal day look like for you?

    Posted by seohelper on March 6, 2020 at 9:20 pm

    Im genuinely curious about what a ‘day in the life’ for most PPC managers in agencies look like.

    Here was my day yesterday:

    * Setup Google shopping campaign for ecomm client ~3-4 hrs
    * Analyzing competitor feeds in SEMrush to match similar structure of product titles etc
    * Formatted data feed in excel / setup merchant center
    * Went through and optimized x2 Adwords accounts ~2-3 hrs
    * bid adjustments, budget allocations, SKAGs, new ad text variations, search term reports, etc
    * Went through Optmyzr recommendations
    * Sent quick optimization reports to clients
    * Setup x2 FB lead campaigns for a real estate client ~2-3 hrs
    * Setup pixel tracking in GTM
    * Setup Zapier to send lead data to CRM
    * Proposals for BD team ~1.5 hrs
    * Google Ads audit from another agency who is managing
    * Recommendations / budgets

    Whats a normal day look like for you? What did yesterday look like?

    “Formatted data feed in excel / setup merchant center”

    You should use a plugin for that.

    Get in at half 9

    Breakfast until 10 while replying to emails etc

    Check pacing across all accounts and adjust bid strategies to push/pull spend if needed

    Assign the days tasks for the Junior Account Exec

    Pull data for a client deck to be presented next week

    Compile and format deck and pull key insights

    Decide to finish deck on Monday

    Go home

    Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door – that way Lumbergh can’t see me, heh – after that I sorta space out for an hour. I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I’m working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I’d say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.
