Help me out – how would you feel if a content writer did this?
TL;DR: Got blog brief from an SEO agency, but for a new client (I'll bill client directly). I think the topic would benefit from an interview with an industry expert. It's a huge timesuck for me though, and I'd want to charge extra to do it. Haven't negotiated this sort of thing before.
How would you feel as an SEO if a content writer did this?
If you were me, would you send an email offering to do it but for more money? If so, how much more? (I'm thinking $50).
I like this SEO agency a lot, and would consider doing this even without the extra money (but I'd put less effort in, would often quote reputable sources instead).
More context:
I'm getting the feel that this company would have said yes to a slightly higher rate per word from me, and that I slightly undercharged. I didn't talk to them about sourcing expert quotes, but I genuinely think it'd boost authoritativeness. That said, for no money, I could also just pull quotes from a really good, reputable source – is there really a big SEO benefit to sourcing quotes? Is it as useful as I think it is?
I did try to search for this, but maybe my Google-fu is off today.
Thank you so much in advance to anyone who has any insight!
