Help in hiring a competent team (sales and marketing)
Hi, everyone I’m the founder of small marketing agency based in India. I’ve worked as a freelancer for about 4 years and transitioned into an agency 2 years back. Initially things were moving slow and was fine, but I’ve had some really fundamental issues at this point about hiring a team.
I make enough revenue to sustain myself but as a business it’s unpredictable. So, I want to hire team members so I can go all in on marketing my company and getting leads and my team can handle the fulfillment. But I’m facing two major issues
1. I want to keep these people on a salary basis, but due to the unpredictable nature of the business, I don’t know if it will sustain or not
2. I’ve had really bad experiences hiring people that deterred the quality of services we were providing to our clients and hence it incurred a loss for me as a business.I want advice over, how I can start scaling my business and how other marketing agencies do it. Also, on how to hire the right talent and have them giving the same kind of output and results that I’ll give to my client.
Also, since we’re a full funnel marketing agency, I’m not very sure on how many people to hire initially. Do I go about hiring a generalist or a specialist for each kind of a service, any advices and experiences in this niche would be highly appreciated.
