Having a bit of a meltdown, advice needed
Hi again,
So… I’m working on the social media strategy and while everything seems to be coming together…I’m still not sure I’m doing anything correctly.
I have content themes for social media to build the local event’s (it’s sorta like a contest) brand and growing awareness. We have a lot of educational and fun content planned teaching people about the importance of I guess going green.
But now I’m working on promoting the event itself as it gets closer. I want to do teasers, I want progress updates as sorta like a behind the scenes look. Then during the event itself I want to showcase everything we have to offer.
How often should we be posting to social media. My content themes work biweekly so it’s really two sets of themes every week. I haven’t put anything up on Saturday and Sunday cuz I sorta want to keep them open for more spontaneous content that isn’t as formulaic

Edit: for a bit more clarification, I’m proposing a three part strategy in the content creation and posting.
Part one would be developing regular posting of content themes. These will be educational and fun, ideally with high quality graphics or videos (we have a graphic designer and videographer)
Part two we kick up on posting to 1-2 times a day and we get more into the promotion of the event, including paid ads. This will go into offerings and speaker showcasing. I don’t want to pause on the regular content themes, but I want to ensure we post more to obviously start promoting
Part three is the during even phase itself. Frequency goes up with even more spontaneous posts to show off the event going on as a way to drive more attendance. Basically showing people what they’re missing

Sounds like you’re off to a really great start! My advice is to post as often as you can stay consistent, and as often as you can provide valuable content! If you can already commit to posting once or twice a day, 5 days a week, that’s WAY ahead of many people! I’d love to check out the account if you’re comfortable pm’ing me your @!
