Has Anyone Tested tCPA vs tROAS When You Don’t Have Dynamic Values?

I've been working agency-side / freelance for the last few years and have always defaulted to max conversions/ tCPA when working with accounts that have one conversion action with no dynamic values.

With that said, I've been trying to brainstorm some testing ideas lately and stumbled upon the thought of simply testing the two bid strategies algo's against each other when it comes to driving conversion volume. Testing is a priority at my company and I've really started to run out of ideas. We have budget set aside for testing, so I wouldn't be tanking performance in the process, but wanted to bring the idea to reddit first.

Theoretically I would expect to get very similar / insignificant results since there would be no variability in conversion value, but I wonder if anyone has tested this for some reason and got unexpected results just due to the fact that the two bid strategies do operate differently so maybe I would be surprised… Am I grasping at straws here?

    Appreciate any insight.

No point in this, as all conversions have the same value the tROAS bidding strategy will be treated exactly as tCPA would be.
