  • Google wrongly flags my pages as duplicate content

Posted by Subject_Mud655 on June 24, 2023 at 11:33 am

My site displays some data about video games. It has a unique dynamic page for each game, which Google considers to be internal duplicates. Each page display data for different game, they provide value and people are visiting them, so they should not be considered duplicates.

(I will link some example pages in the comments)

Since I noticed that sites similar to mine have no problems with indexing, I was wondering what it is about my site that is causing the problem (My site is fairly new, and I know some of these sites have a lot more traffic than mine, but again I don’t see why pages would be considered duplicates)

The problem is that my pages have some quite strong backlinks, and they don’t seem to be taken into account, as pages are not indexed and are considered duplicates.

    Page examples:

    gamalytic(dot)com/game/292030

    gamalytic(dot)com/game/990080

the first page is the page that Google considers to be canonical, while the second is considered to be duplicate content (regardless of the fact that it has some strong backlinks)

Here are examples of other sites that have no problems getting indexed:

    games-stats(dot)com/steam/game/hogwarts-legacy/

    vginsights(dot)com/game/990080

    gamesensor(dot)info/app/990080

I think the issue could be that you don’t have any description about the game.
