    Google search ads ranking

Posted by Magicalfoxxx on June 30, 2023 at 10:08 am

I’m using maximize clicks bidding strategy for my Google search ad campaign and few of my keywords has 10/10 quality score but even then my competitor’s ads are showing on top of me on those keywords.does it only mean that they are bidding more on those keywords or there could be other possibility which I should work on?

Click Max rarely gets you top of page. The idea is that you get more clicks by spending less per click than your competitors. Less cpc = more clicks for your allotted budget overall.

If you want to be above competition then use conv. Max or set manual cpc above what you are currently spending on click max.

My guess is your competitors are using conv. Max which means you could see your CPCs skyrocket by switching. Sometimes being 2nd place on the SERPs is just fine. Good visibility and overall lower CPCs.

I tried switching to Max conversion for 2-3 days however cpc skyrocketed and i got no conversion opposed to it. That’s the reason I switched back to Max click. Even in Max click CPC is high then I’m expecting it to be.

I’m running a brand campaign targeting audience searching for a real estate project and there are enough traffic on it and 5 competitors in total including me who are bidding on the same keywords for the same location. Also my ad always shows on bottom even on 10/10 quality score keywords and though I’m getting good number of clicks, but no conversions. Not sure what to do?

The point is you are not getting conversions. Were you getting conversions before when you were ranking high? Also whats your CTR and average clicks per day?
