Very broad question. Every campaign will have a learning period once you first start it. The rule of thumb is to start with max clicks with manual CPC (or max conv. with few target keywords, if your budget is huge) , but if you have the budget I’d suggest letting it run on max clicks till you get a handful of leads.

Curious, why are you running GAds for an emergency or immediate service? Maybe I don’t understand the industry but wouldn’t they call emergency services? Please correct my confusion if I’m wrong, haha.

The learning period is not really a thing. Ad platforms are always learning based on new conversion data that is coming in. Campaigns never truly stop learning,… unless of course there are no conversions to speak of.

*Is this the best type of campaign for emergency/immediate service?*

Search ads are highly effective for emergency services. My clients in auto body repair have been consistently getting leads this way.

What worked for them was a strong focus on phone calls and high purchase-intent keywords.

    >Does manual cpc have a learning period?

No. Not really. But it doesn’t mean that it won’t take a minute until you get your first click

    >Is this the best type of campaign for emergency/immediate service?

ManualCPC, and TIS (target impression share) are the best options for such situations.

    Hope it helps
