Google Merchant Account Suspended Due to Misrepresentation – Need Help!

Posted by Medium-Dig-8056 on September 9, 2024 at 12:36 am

    Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with my Google Merchant account and could really use some advice. I run an online business called M&A IT Tech Inc., where we sell IT products in Canada as a value-added reseller. We were in the process of setting up Google Merchant to promote our products through Shopping Ads and were figuring out how to upload our product feeds. Initially, our business name was incorrectly listed as “MAIT Tech,” but we corrected it to the proper name, "M&A IT Tech."

Unfortunately, our account was suspended for misrepresentation. Google requested documents to verify our business, and we provided all necessary documentation, including our business registration and a driver’s license. After submitting the documents, we received an email saying our account was reinstated, but then, just an hour later, we received another email saying the account was suspended again.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Updated the business name and information.

Ensured that our privacy policy, shipping, and returns policies are clearly visible and up to Google’s standards.

Contacted Google support several times; the reps have said our website looks fine, but the Merchant Center continues to reject our account after every review request.

Initially, we thought the issue might be with our domain, as we have a subdomain (store.maittechinc.ca), but from what we’ve found, this wasn’t the issue.

It's important to note that we were still in the setup process and hadn’t actually uploaded any product feeds yet when the suspension occurred.

We are a legitimate business and authorized resellers for several brands, so this has been incredibly frustrating. Our Google Ads account has not been suspended, but we mainly want to promote through Shopping Ads, which is where the problem lies.

Here’s our website for reference: https://maittechinc.ca/

Has anyone experienced this kind of issue before, or does anyone have any advice on how we can resolve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.

First of all, I can’t even get into your website because you have a captcha they won’t even let me into the site to look at it until I solve it four or five times. It’s really stupid that I have to click on pictures of motorcycles and then I have to keep doing it over and over. It’s just to a load a site. 99.9% of customers are going to be gone when the first captcha pops up that’s ridiculous. You should be suspended for something so stupid as that. Sorry, but just being real and telling you what your customers are experiencing. Get rid of of the captcha if you want advice here. But I think that’s probably your issue.
