  • Google Limiting Indexing To Push Users To AdWords ?? Anyone noticed?

    Hi All,

I currently run SEO on 250 websites and build 3-5 websites, per month.

I have noticed in the last 12 months a significant decrease in the indexing speed of pages and entire sites! To the point clients are not seeing ranks for pages they’ve built 12 months ago.

Crawl speeds are fine, I can see the crawl bot viewing pages in the websites RAW access logs.**My**

**Question: Is Google deliberately limiting indexing of sites to push users to their paid product – Google AdWords?**

**I wouldnt put this strategy past them, given their strategy for Google AdWords. Every phone call I get from the AdWords support team is an attempt to increase the budget, not actually optimize the AdWords campigns.**

An example, one of my recently built sites has 500 pages, 6 months has passed and only 130 have been indexed. All the remaining pages have been discovered, but not indexed.

6 months to crawl, assess, and compare authority/relevance to all other sites in that industry isn’t that much time. Google has gotten pickier about indexing in my opinion but, if your topics have been thoroughly covered by other sites and your site has little authority, Google is going to need more motivation to index and serve the content.

We got this same bullshit of increasing our budget.

The fucked up part is this: our budget is ~$1,000 _per day_… _per campaign_ and it’s not even coming *close* to that.

    (< 20% on a good day.)

Yet, the answer for “optimizing” our Ads account: increase your budget.

And, the traffic has been total garbage.

    Absolute detritus.

    The answer: increase your budget.

Google has been awful on so many levels for years and is just getting worse at everything they do.

That they’re now putting their feet onto the organic scales would shock me about as much as an announcement that Abe Lincoln died.

It is hard to say what is occurring. I haven’t seen indexing issues with any of my sites.

Any time I have pages that won’t index, the first thing I start looking at and playing with is internal linking. How is it? Sometimes after I make the appropriate links, there is nothing to do but wait.

In addition, there was recently serious volatility in the SERP. I would not be surprised if Google becomes more strict about what it indexes given that people are throwing out insane amounts of content due to the automation available.

Even though it doesn’t represent much market share, what is Bing Webmasters Tool telling you? Is it indexed there?

Seems like Google doesn’t see your sites as “important enough” to allocate them more crawl time.

I don’t have any indexing issues on the sites I manage, and never had any. Dozens of thousands of pages, no problem. Ranking took a hit but nothing unexpected, that’s that much issue I’m having with Google.

Maybe it’s more of a fact you’re not building quality sites?

No offense but 3-5 websites/month with 250 websites in total, and your recently built site has 500 pages, I have a hard time seeing how you’ll generate interest if you’re pulling out pages like it’s being crapped out of ChatGPT.

Well, regarding your question you have recently built 500 pages. Out of this only 130 pages have been indexed and rest pages ‘e not right? That means your websites or web pages ‘e not properly optimized as per the Google’s Algorithms. You have to configure **Google Accelerated Mobile Pages (Google AMP)** on yours site.

**#Google AMP** is an open-source project by Google that enhances mobile browsing speed and user experience. It uses streamlined coding techniques to optimize web pages for quick loading on mobile devices, pre-rendering content, and prioritizing critical resources. AMP pages receive increased visibility in Google search results, leading to better engagement on mobile platforms.
