Google Ads – Validity of New Customers Metric
Have been remiss in keeping up with my ppc accounts and upon review have found many campaigns with extremely low ‘New Customers’ metrics. Many with less than 1 on campaigns spending thousands per month.
Should I assume that means these campaigns are only converting returning customers and significant spend savings could be had by either reducing bids or checking ‘bid for new customers only’? (Recognizing other retargeting campaigns will need to be in place to economically capture those customers.)
Or, am I misunderstanding the data?
