    Google ads tags

When setting up remarketing audiences in Google ads, do we need to install the same google tag as the one we have inserted for conversion tracking? I dont understand why we need 2 google tag, one for conversion tracking and one for remarketing?

It’s a different code and does different things. I’d suggest using Google Tag Manager to add all you’re Google Ads codes so everything is in one place and easy to mange.

    Hi u/Downtown-Pepper9454

Your question: you do not need two tags – you only need one, that tag will need additional java script within it or snippets placed through to capture the information you are looking for, than you will have to use Google Ads audience builder to create the audiences you want to set at the campaign level or ad group. r/everythingpaidmedia

Question is your Google Ads account connected to Google Analytics or Google Conversions?

If yes here is the gold standard: [https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2679221?hl=en](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2679221?hl=en)

If you connect to google analytics: you have more flexibility for audiences, segments by browser, location, device, certain click actions
