Google Ads – Queries Triggering Unrelated Ads?
Greetings.
Has anyone else been experiencing situations where queries trigger ads, even if the search terms are not part of your keyword list? Not even related by broad match or broad match modifiers.
For example, one of our brands, when queried, pulled an ad for another one of our products.
Anybody else?

It could be because of Google’s algorithm update to match keywords to queries they think have similar intent. I believe the change happened sometime in October where it affected Exact keywords. Best way to ensure your keywords match appropriately would be ad group negatives.
