Hey guys! I’ve been doing ecom for a while now and I wanted to start google ads. I have a couple questions:

If I would want to advertise multiple stores with google would I need multiple google merchant accounts and google ads accounts?

If I only wanted to do search campaigns would I be ok without uploading my products to google merchant account and do it without with the tracking pixe/tag that the google ads account provides? Would I be missing anything in this case?

    Thanks!

Would I be missing anything in this case? -> Search Campaign dont need a merchant store account, so you dont need to upload your products or even have a google merchant account.

You can do without tracking/pixel/tag but you will be missing out a lot of data and i think everyone who does PPC for a living wouldn’t recommend you to not implement Tag Manager / Conversion Code.

You need Google Merchant Center (GMC) account for each domain name you have. This domain needs to be verified and claimed in GMC. It’s best to have one Google Ads account for each site you own. Google Merchant Center (GMC) is only used if you want to run shopping campaigns. You don’t need an account if you just want to run search campaigns. If you don’t have tracking setup, you won’t be able to track your success and goals. At the very least, import your Google Analytics goals into your Google Ads account.

I just launched my [Google Shopping Course](https://www.udemy.com/course/google-shopping-course)… covers a lot of what you want to at 2 hours. A good part of the course is on Google Merchant Center… since that is the heart and soul of shopping campaigns. If you every want to get into shopping… good place to start beyond what Google support docs offer.
