Google Ads – Google Account Managers

Posted by seohelper on March 5, 2020 at 12:24 pm

    Hello

I am a PPC newbie and am testing out Google Ads with a view to getting a positive ROI.

I have done a few Udemy courses and had a long set up conversation with a Google Ads Account Manager.

My question is, do these managers have your best interest at heart and are they truly knowledgeable or are they simply trying to get you spend as much as possible.

I know this will probably vary widely but I am would be interested to hear from anyone’s personal experience on their usefulness.

Any recommendations on how not to blow thousands of $ on my first ad experiment would also be welcomed.

The latter, they just want you to spend as much as possible with as much algorithmic/automation as possible.

They get paid for any changes you make to your account/campaigns.

They definitely do not have your best interests at heart. One of my Google Reps even told me that they’re rewarded for each suggestion you implement, so take anything they say with a grain of salt. They also don’t seem particularly knowledgeable, but that will vary between reps. They mostly stick to scripts and template reports they generate. I actually wrote a [case study](https://husaria-marketing.com/the-case-against-google-ads-automation/) about following a suggestion to test automation which backfired spectacularly.

Definitely the latter, they have quotas to meet for spend as well as % of clients using their algorithmic bidding. I’m curious how you have your campaign set up, feel free to DM me with any questions or a screenshot of how you have your campaign structure.

They work for Regalix Revenue Operations [https://www.regalix.com/](https://www.regalix.com/)

    Open and shut case.
