    Google Ads Dynamic Remarketing on branded terms?

    I have a dynamic remarketing campaign set up to remarket specific product pages, but I have set to target only existing website visitors (i.e. not observation) — with the relevant product ad.

    However, when I go to the Search Terms report for that campaign, I’m seeing a lot of branded search.

    I.e. the user comes to our site, then just searches our company at later date and gets shown a dynamically retargeted ad, then clicks through to complete a conversion.

    Would it be sound thinking that we should exclude branded search terms here? We have people ready to return and purchase (because they’re searching for our brand) and we’re instead paying for the results. We don’t have other companies competing for our brand name in search, so it feels like its just messing with reporting because this is technically an organic return.

    Curious to hear your thoughts!
