[Google ads] conversion tag VS conversion uploads
More and more people are blocking cookies/ad-domains etc.
So I implemented a basic server side conversion tracking. In essence all gclid visits are stored in the customers’ session and when they convert I store the last gclid along with their order (as meta data).
Every day I get sent a list of transactions with their gclids.My question:
Is it better to just drop the google ads conversion tag on the order-completed page and just send the list of transactions+gclids by Google Sheets to Google Ads?ATM I have 2 purchase conversion-actions. 1) Purchase (by conversion tag) and 2) Purchase (by upload).
Both actions are supplied with a transaction ID. But it seems the transaction ID only has a use within a conversion-action and not over all actions.
