Why is the number of users in acquisition- user acquisition for a specific month higher then the number of users in a engagment- pages and screen user count? Would not the same amount of unique users both view pages and come in as traffic? As the traffic is the one that sends them to the pages?

Or is it if acquisition- user acquisition inflated as a number since Engagement- pages and screen would only count folks that stayed on over 10 seconds?

User Acquisition: This metric counts every unique user who lands on your site during a specific time frame, regardless of what they do afterward. It captures everyone—those who bounce immediately and those who stay and interact.

Engagement – Pages and Screens: This counts unique users who have actually engaged with your site. Engagement can be defined differently depending on your GA4 setup, but often it’s users who have stayed on the site for a certain amount of time or have completed specific actions.

Naturally your user acquisition will likely be higher than engagement.
