Hey all! I am changing careers from producing television to social media/marketing for a wine brand with 2 wineries on its roster.

There is a lot of overlap in the two fields but I’d like to ask you all for any advice when it comes to taking over a businesses’ socials and focusing primarily on video content/reels for social media.

I have content ideas and social media strategies like creating a social media calendar with a goal of posting ~3x/week (2 photo posts, 1 reel)

Please let me know what’s helped you in your content creation role for a brand’s social media! Thank you so much!

Consider implementing an email marketing strategy alongside your social media efforts. It’s a powerful tool to keep your audience engaged and informed about the latest happenings, new releases, wine tastings, etc. Tools like MailChimp or ConstantContact are great for this. And don’t forget to A/B test your emails for best results. Cheers!

If you are focusing on video content/reels, I would say keeping up with trends is important. You can use TikTok Creative Center or just follow accounts in your client’s niche. That helps a lot to stay up to date. Aside from that, tools like CapCut and Canva are great! As well as a social media scheduler. The APIs of the social platforms have opened up even more so whether you have a business or creator account, you should to some extent be able to schedule content out!
