So back in like 2020 i was little kid who made trash fortnite videos. Idk who rembers these profile picture cult things. Basically everyone set their pfp to the same image and started following eachother so everyone could have a lot of followers. This way i gained 1900 followers which sounds "great" but here is the deal. I still use this account every day but I didnt post anything since then. Now a little more mature, I started making music and I want to promote it on tiktok. the issue is those 1900 followers mostly consist of inactive accounts now.
Does this matter algoritm wise, would it effect my reach? Should I make a new account and start promoting my music there? Does it even matter?

Go for a fresh start. Do a bit planning and hit publish or upload.

I always wonder how you can totally start fresh, now that so many social media platforms link to your mobile number. If anyone can enlighten me, please.

    New audience = new channel

The way the algorithms work is they try to identify the types of people who will like your videos. If people watch them they keep showing them to those people otherwise they stop showing them over time.

The algorithm gets really good at showing your videos to the types of people who will like them. So it’s really important that each channel has a specific audience and only makes content for that audience. Otherwise, you’ll confuse the algorithm and your videos will fall flat.
