Please help! Does anyone know how to flood out articles that pop up with your name. Like I have had something unfortunate happen to me and every time you search my name it’s full of articles about it. And I just want to be able to leave everything behind. It does not help that one news outlet is espn which is huge and sitting at the top of my search when you look up my name. :/ I wish we had the right to be forgotten here in the US. I also would love to know if I became a Eu citizen if I could qualify for a right to be forgotten. Anything helps!

You could make various posts with your name on other sites and that would help flood out the search results. I’d recommend making topics on forums and blog sites. Also, social media posts could help as well.

    1. Sign up for social media accounts, make a few posts, and make sure in the settings that you’re allowing them to be shown in search results (this will be worded differently on every platform). LinkedIn and Twitter (X) tend to rank well for names, especially if you’re active. Facebook, Instagram, and even Pinterest can help, too.
    2. Buy a domain for your name and make a quick and easy website. Again, write a few blog posts. Make sure your name is included in some <title> tags and your full name is shown as the author of the posts.
    3. Kind of a weird one, but I’ve noticed Flickr sometimes ranks well for names if you’ve loaded many photos
    4. Are you an expert in anything? Sign up for Qwoted as a source and fill out a profile.
    5. Related to that, if you can write a guest article on another site, that would help tremendously. Or interviewed on a podcast. Or speak at an event.
    6. Look around for directories you might be relevant for (e.g. I have a page on my alma mater’s directory of alumni-owned businesses)

Just off the top of my head.
