FB Pixel w/ GTM … firing twice/three times
Going crazy as I can’t figure out what I have done wrong. Use a 3rd party shopping site for our e-commerce and they require GTM for pixels. Added FB pixel and keep seeing two to three conversions recorded per order.
Here’s my steps I took:
1) Installed base FB pixel code in a tag in GTM, created a firing event to fire on every page view
2) Installed a second FB page in GTM, this type just the purchase script, set to fire on DOM Ready trigger anytime URL contains thank
Where did I go wrong?

I would double-check the URL trigger condition in case ‘thank’ appears more than once. Maybe making it more specific helps. Also, in this type of ecommerce scenario I would typically use Pageview trigger but not sure if DOM ready is more appropriate here without knowing the details.

I just saw this literally happen yesterday, I did the #1. My SEO person did the #2. when we run the console, we saw 2 tags that fire. we removed the first set up on GTM dashboard and kept the #2. hope it helped.
