FB jailed me for messages.
Earlier I posted a video of my TV showing the Australian Break Dancer in the Olympics. It was flagged as copyright by the IOC. Ok whatever. Within 5 minutes I went to respond to a group message in messenger and got the message
“You can't send messages for 3 days
Something you sent in a chat went against our
Community Standards.”But I only chat with some friends and don’t send bad things.
When I went back into FB feed a pop up with
“Your account is restricted for 2 days
Your account activity didn't follow our Community Standards, so you can't do one or more things you usually do.”All of this because I made a video post of my TV watching an Olympic competition? I’m not even able to appeal.
Is this what FB or Social Media is coming to? I get not stealing other people’s videos or using copyrighted material to make money and such. But it seems like things are getting crazy.

Congrats. Your account was hacked and they probably used your ad account attached (most people don’t realize) to your personal and they use to run things like scam ads or gambling etc then they post offensive sure to get you banned content which gets instaflagged and your account restricted. But because you can’t do anything in your account their ads keep running and you can’t stop them.
Or you’re lying.
Either way – you need to personally write Facebook HQ with your details and situation so a person actually looks like it.

Some companies are very strict about the reuse of their copyrighted material. I would have thought the IOC would have been more relaxed due to the nature of the event. Anyway, if your video was on the longer side that might be it. I think 10-15 seconds usually could be fine. How long was it?

That’s nutty! I sent at least ten videos of diving to my partner through messenger and I didn’t get flagged.
