  FB ads audience reporting?

  Currently I see no way to accurately report audience segments in FB Ads like Google can.

  For example I want to see how each audience segment performs without creating an ad set for each of them to compare performance

  Nope – only way is as you said to do a separate ad set for each audience (this was the case even before iOS14 which now limits the conversion data you get back in any of the “breakdowns”)
