Facebook/Instagram ads being rejected every time?

Posted by seohelper on May 14, 2020 at 2:35 pm

    Hi everyone

A friend and I are starting up a web design/digital marketing agency. We tried to post an Instagram ad a while back but it got shut down immediately by Insta, as apparently it was ‘selling misleading or deceptive products used to scam people out of money’. All the post was about was a promotional offer for logo design, a service we offer. We tried to appeal and the post has been in appeal ever since, with no emails or contact from anyone at Facebook or Instagram.

So we turned to Facebook instead, we posted an ad last night which literally outlines the different services we provide. This got rejected by Facebook immediately, again for ‘selling misleading or deceptive products used to scam people out of money’ ???? We really don’t have a clue what we have done wrong, we even used preset targeting, as we used custom targeting on the Instagram ad and thought we made an error there so we decided to just use preset facebook targeting on this one.

We are starting to wonder is there something wrong with our page? The page’s name is cursed or something? We don’t have a clue what we did wrong as we followed official guidelines set by Facebook to design/post these ads. Also, appealing these ads do absolutely nothing because we are yet to receive a reply from Facebook as to what we did wrong from the Instagram ad almost a month ago. Has anyone come across this problem before?

Don’t know if it’s the reason for rejection but with that much text on your images, fb is going to limit your reach even if you’re approved.

Have you take the Facebook blueprint course?

After taking a second look, I have some words of advice.

    1) Don’t boost posts, it’s shit and you will get no value.
2)don’t advertise digital marketing and graphic design with a design that a 12 year old could have made.
3)Don’t advertise a web development company when you haven’t even got your own website built yet.
    4) don’t advertise yourselves as digital marketers when you clearly have no experience in digital marketing.

Now the above is going to sound harsh but I’m just being real with you. You need to brush up your stuff before you go out there and try to provide a service for people.

Are you using link shorteners? Or landing pages? The ad needs to go directly to the page the customer will see and not be redirected.
