Domain name for Australian clothing brand
Hey guys, just had a quick question regarding the ideal domain for an Aussie clothing brand. At the moment, I have can buy either a .com.au or .au domain and was wondering which would be more ideal for a clothing brand. I’m based in Sydney, but don’t want to exclude global markets and have heard that .com domains would be ideal. If I go with either .au or .com.au would I be harming any future business? If not, which out of the two would be recommended? For reference, I’m launching a philosophy based clothing brand, which may appeal to US or UK markets, but would start off locally in Australia.

Can you get the .com version and just redirect to whichever of the other 2 is most effective in Australia?

.au works best. Recently worked on with a fashion clothing .au brand. They too had the same issue but we where able to make them rank for multiple keywords with .au extension.
