  • Does getting a 3 day follow/unfollow ban on Twitter decrease reach?

    Hi all,

    I hope you’re all well,

I don’t know a lot about Twitter and am just getting started. I decided to follow a load of people on Twitter, I thought it would be fine, but quickly became annoyed at loads of the content they were sharing and decided to unfollow them. I then got a 3 day ban. I’m wondering, will this affect the reach of my account outside of those three days? I’d really appreciate it if anyone could let me know.

    Many thanks in advance 🙂

Your submission looks to be asking for resources on getting started. If so, you are not the only one asking this question, try the search, the sidebar (lots of resources there), and [check out the resource collection on our community site](https://lookingformarketing.com/resources?utm_source=r_socialmedia&utm_medium=ai)

Probably, but the only thing getting any reach anymore is hateful rhetoric anyway. Twitter is not worth the time unless your primary demographic is Fox News viewers.

It’s 100% temporary. It will cause zero damage to your account. Nothing to worry about.

Usually that 3 day action block occurs if you unfollow many quickly. Following many is ok. Unfollowing many is ok. And, occassionally you’ll hit that 3 day action block.
