Does duplicating and restarting a performance max campaign help with struggling performance?
Hi PPCers, thanks in advance for your help!
One of my performance max campaigns has been struggling for a couple of months now, very little conversions, high CPA, target roas not met, and it seems that the algorithm is completely lost (also, CPC is generally very high considering the low performance).
In the summer I've had some hiccups with conversion tracking that might have confounded the algorithm (handled with data exclusions, mostly). Lately I had to drastically reduce the budget and increase troas, but this doesn't seem a sustainable way out because it will stop delivering.
So I was thinking, would it help to duplicate the campaign and start from scratch? Or would the algorithm still make decisions based on the data at account level? -
