Do you think Tik Tok Shop ruined the app?
I use Tik Tok to promote my business, but I’ve noticed that views are down across the board for me and lot of creators (nothing new though lol).
But even on my personal account every 2-5 videos is either an AD or someone promoting something from the Tik Tok shop. I wonder if since Tik Tok implemented that, less and less people are using the app? What are your thoughts?

Lol money is the singularity.
See people don’t understand money – it’s not just an infinite linear number set, it defines human behavior.
You are the product on tik-tok. You will never make money off it for free ever again – because that’s how money works. Now they are cashing in, and you can literally ‘feel’ it, just like we can feel society collapsing under the raw unfairness of it all.

You are now competing against not content, but ad dollars.
Profit is an imbalanced equation.

It’s like anything. People got tired of being bombarded on there too. When the next social media app comes out people will talk about all the business they generated on there and by then unless you have massive ad spend you will be un noticed. It kind of ruins it for everyone.

I’ve noticed the dramatic uptick of ads. I don’t mind a few here and there, but this is obnoxious.

Not seeing any drop across my accounts. Reality is your content isn’t as good as it may have been and there’s more competition as more and more businesses try to make a buck. Happens every time with every social network when it becomes popular. But everyone believes “It’s not me, it’s some other cause.”

What gets me is the Temu, Ali baba drop shipping bullshit, which is most of the ads. I have no problem with a hard working small business advertising their hard work.

Tik Tol is hiring like crazy for their shop product. That’s a good indication that this is their new direction. Get ready for lots of shop.

Oh no, I hope they’re not going down the same route as Instagram did. They ruined it.

tik tok has felt better recently, but oh man reels is a mess right now.

I’m def tired of every other post being about some product. I was suckered in to buying lip stain and it’s not a good product so I’m now leery of buying anything else off TikTok shop
