    Often times I see “suspects” photos of people who did crimes along with their names.

    Or people who passed away in car accidents or shootings. Their “Facebook” or “Instagram” photos are always pictured on the news.

    So can they use my photos without permission ?

    You need to review the social media TOS, especially for public posts. You don’t own anything you post on social media, nor do you have rights to it. The company does. Especially Meta

    Yes you’re licensing them to the social media site, the site is then licensing them for documentary or ‘news’ use.
