  Do dead no-follow links hurt SEO

  Have a bunch of links posted on social media to dead or non-existent pages on my website. Will this hurt my page rank? I’ve read that no-follow links from social media probably don’t help page rank, but do the dead ones hurt page rank?

  No. 404s are not a (negative) ranking factor. A 404 could be a missed opportunity to leverage the PageRank from a backlink, but if it’s nofollow then it wouldn’t pass PageRank anyway.
