  • Did I nuke my TikTok account before I could start?

I had a TikTok account that I just used to mess around with but haven’t posted to it since March of this year. I deleted all my old videos on it because I wanted to start using it to use it as an extension of my YouTube channel and grow my personal brand on it. But, then all my likes disappeared and I’m worried that I just yanked my chances of my videos being seen because of the algorithm.

Hi! I wish the TikTok algorithm was so straightforward, lol. If you regularly post content of interest to a wide audience to TikTok, you’ll put yourself in the best position to succeed. Past performance does not necessarily dictate success on TikTok as it does on other platforms.

I think if you start again and stay consistent you can build on it again, especially if you use it to crosspost for your YouTube channel. I would work out a goal, a strategy, and a schedule for posting so you can stay consistent from now on. As long as your content is of high quality and speaks to your target audience and niche I think your TikTok account can absolutely be saved.
