  Deleted vs Expired domain

  I read that deleted domains are when domains have expired and the grace period for renewals has ended. I know that expired domains can be useful for SEO but what about deleted domains? Do they have the same advantages for SEO? Backlinks, age, etc?

  You can’t pick up a domain until it has been deleted from the registry –that is when it becomes open to the public again.
