  • Decision: Separate landing page and SaaS page with subdomain?

I am running a SaaS, where users can upload recipes and order the ingredients directly. This SaaS page is located on “recipes.mydomain.com”.

To explain our business, the SaaS, write blog posts and improve SEO I created a landing page on “www.mydomain.com”.

The landing page is funneling the users into the SaaS page and I am fine with that, but I also want to make it so that in the future the recipes from the subdomain are showing up on search engines directly and obviously the subdomain is not perfectly SEO optimized, because I focused on the landing page.

What do you think is the smarter decision:

Incorporate the functionality of the SaaS into the landing page to use synergistic effects or try to improve the SEO of the subdomain and try to get both pages to rank?

I have merged them for my SaaS backlinkgpt.con. I think it also depends on your business. E.g. users probably won’t want to have their ordered recipes indexed and most info is private so I would putt the app under a sub domain and marketing under the main.

For cases like Airbnb, Ecom etc probably best to merge them
