Decent amount of Likes but not many views on Instagram
do marketing for an aerodynamic company and recently our Instagram views have tanked.
To put things into perspective, our latest reel currently sits at 11.1k likes with only 133k views, the previous reel received 15.6k likes with 123k views, and a well-performing post before that 63.8k likes and 721k views. I know this isn't the worst kind of engagement but the view-to-like ratio barely makes any sense.
Our CDO does reels and one of them received 9,927 likes but hit 1 million views. The next post had 16.4k likes and hit 4.4 million views, the following post had 9,545 likes and nearly 500k views.
The company page is struggling to hit the 500k-1 million mark in terms of views. How can a 9k-like post get 1 million views but a 60k-like post only gets 700k views?
Ah, first-world country issues – I know. But any kind of feedback is appreciated!

Likes don’t matter. I have less than 1k likes on a 102k view video. What instagram wants is for people to watch the videos, ideally multiple times. If they do, Instagram pushes it big. Likes, just like followers, are mostly a vanity metric.

Dont worry about likes, most likes on social media AI and bots these days and not real life sadly
