    Custom Affinity Audience help, please

Posted by seohelper on May 13, 2020 at 6:01 pm

I started running a series of display ads using custom affinity audiences at the beginning of May.

Lets it run for a few days and noticed that most of the impressions, clicks & cost were coming from mobile apps.

Now there were a few reputable sites in their like news & Forbes, but I didnt want these ads to appear in mobile apps so i excluded all apps for Apple, google, & windows.

However, since i excluded those I have only gotten 5 impressions from a cardgame website.

Anybody have some insight they could share? Did i miss something somewhere?

This really depends on your bid strategy and the bids you set.

Display can work and show on good sites if it meets the following:

    1. Enough conversions to know who to target
    2. High enough budget to get enough conversions
    3. High enough bid to be able to been shown on relevant websites and win valuable auctions
    4. Good creatives, 75% of the success of a display and lies in the creative

How have you set up the campaign, and is it a low barrier conversion, or are you using it for branding purposes?

    EDIT: Grammar mistakes

You probably have targeting expansion on. Turn it off, slide the slider all the way to off. It’s under audiences > edit audience at the campaign level.
