  • Creating Blogs Then Linking To The Blog In A Forum About The Topic

If I create blog posts, let’s say a guide on cleaning a couch. Then I go to a forum where the topic is how to clean a couch, I give my answer then link to my website’s blog post, wouldn’t that be both a relevant and authoritative backlink?

It may be a nofollow link, and it may be against the forum rules (which could piss off any potential customers there depending on how you do it). Other than that, it can be a good tactic.

    Dont spam!
Maybe link to several websites, so its not too obvious. Domain age also is something some mods look for.
Have a girl username, less ban-rate.
Listen what people say on the forums.

It can be great but it can also be spammy and that’s not that good. So its good to not over do it and link to very appropriate stuff. I try to do it in a very small scale I have never actually done it in a bigger scale.
