Created a new site. Is Google Search Console broken…????
Okay, so I created a new recipe site. Have all the good plugins…Schema Pro…WP Total Cache…etc. Did my due diligence on the domain and validated that no backlinks or prior history showed up in Semrush, etc. Sitemaps are fully enabled and verified to be working. And validated.
Setup Google Search Console and GA4 using Google’s WP SiteKit plugin.
Problem was I didn’t realize that I did not set noindex immediately for 24 hours, and Google crawled the site while noindex was disabled and I was working on it. Normally I set the entire thing to noindex enabled from the start until ready to unleash the entire site. In the past, this was not a problem.
But apparently it is a problem over the past week.
Now, Google doesn’t budge after I have published 67 posts, have done internal linking with Link Whisper, and setup ping. Minimum 2,000 words – 3,000 words per post with all the required headings per search analysis for each keyword.
Human-edited content, but AI generated. Extremely thorough human page optimizations on page.
I went into GSC and validated errors saying I have noindex enabled have been fixed, and doing this fixes nothing. No pages indexed. Just the homepage. Nada. GSC is just freaking slow to admit that I repaired the problem.
I used to be able to index new domains within 24 hours. Now I can barely get it to do anything.
What did I miss?
