Could botting on social media be prevented by linking to bank accounts?
To verify for humans, could a user link their bank account, the platform sends some transaction, say of $0 (not sure how exactly this works, but it's like when a company sends a charge then immediately does a chargeback).
I'm assuming its unlikely bots have valid, operating bank accounts. Would this work?

In todays security rich environment and peoples poor account security? It’d be a goldmine for hackers.

It may or may not work. You can never be 100% certain with how they behave today with using their algorithms.
