Copyright and stock footage question
Posted by Carbuna on February 14, 2023 at 10:19 amI’ve started a new TikTok account where I present animal facts but I’m having trouble finding copyright free content to include in my videos. Are there any sites where you can get animal pictures and videos in a monthly subscription?
How do you handle copyright or where do you get your pictures/videos?
(I’m from Germany so fair use probably doesn’t apply to me).

GuestFebruary 14, 2023 at 2:21 pmIf you want to do it properly, just license content through any of the major stock sites like Adobe, Shuttlestock, or Storyblocks.
Or contact people directly on TikTok etc and ask if you have their videos to share with a tag.

GuestFebruary 14, 2023 at 6:45 pmThere are several websites that offer stock footage and images for use in your videos, including Shutterstock, iStock, and Pond5. These websites offer monthly subscriptions that allow you to download a certain number of images and videos each month, depending on the plan you choose. Additionally, some websites, such as Unsplash, offer a large library of high-quality, royalty-free images that can be used for commercial purposes.
When using stock footage or images, it’s important to make sure that you have the proper license to use the content in your videos. This can typically be done by purchasing a license from the website where you obtained the content, or by checking the licensing terms before you use the content in your video. Additionally, it’s important to credit the source of the content in your video or in the video description to show your appreciation and respect for the creators of the content.

GuestFebruary 15, 2023 at 12:52 pmUnfortunately, there are not many sites that offer animal pictures and videos in a monthly subscription. However, there are some stock footage sites that offer royalty-free images and videos. Some of these sites include Shutterstock, iStock, and Pond5.
When it comes to copyright, it is important to make sure that you are not using any copyrighted material without permission. If you are unsure about the copyright status of a particular image or video, it is best to contact the copyright holder directly.
You can also look into Creative Commons licenses, which allow you to use content for free as long as you give credit to the original creator. You can find Creative Commons content on sites like Flickr and Wikimedia Commons.
I don’t know why you don’t think about making your own photos and videos. If you want to make them by yourself, you can use a digital camera or smartphone to take pictures and videos of animals. You can keep posting your content on Tiktok but you can also try another platform. Using other platforms like Instagram can be a great way to reach a wider audience.
You can also use Instagram’s editing tools to enhance your content. You can also use it to promote your videos and build a following. To reach a wider audience you can use target ads or hire a growth service such as Ascend viral to help you get potential followers organically. This can help you to increase your engagement rate. You can also collaborate with other influencers in your niche.
