  Consensus on if sourced clips for b roll fall under Fair Use in ‘educational/PSA’ type videos

  Fair Use is very vague and I’m wondering in your experience, or in your brand’s legal team’s opinion, does UGC being used as b roll in a video intended to educate the audience on a specific topic fall within fair use? Is something like this considered ‘academic’ enough?

  I’ve always thought yes, but I know it’s also a Wild West out here in terms of what’s best practice, legal guidelines, etc.
