Changing Instagram and Facebook accounts from business to creator so I can receive payment for video views. Any drawbacks?
I make videos of me making things and often get millions of views on Instagram and Facebook. I sell the things I make and I’m set up with a business account. I’ve read that meta pay quite well and was looking into monetising my account. But it seems I can only do this with a creator account. Not a business account. Is there any reason why I cannot change my account from business to creator so I can receive payment for my video views? Is there a rule against this that I am missing?

You don’t have to change from business to creator account, if it’s not a better fit. You just need to monetise your account which you can do with a business account as well.
On Instagram you will need to request support for monetisation tool which you can do in your dashboard. You can also fill out a contact form. It’s important to set up payouts so you can get the money you have earned.
