  • Can you visually depict social media networks?

    Hi all,

I use quite a few different forms of social media including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, etc and have numerous contacts from these sites. But, for many of the people I follow and friend they are within a few different categories such as uni friends, school friends, and work colleagues (that I label on Google Contacts).

What I was wondering is have any of you ever used a visualisation software / app / website that can depict such social connections via spider diagrams / mindmaps?

The visual spider diagram depiction I imagined would be an interconnected series of spider diagrams, where each individuals social network would link together.

For example, a generic person "John Smith" has 40 followers on Instagram. His name would be the central topic and the followers would be the subtopics. One of his followers is "Sarah Smith" who has 50 Instagram followers, and when you select / click on her subtopic in John Smith's spider diagram, it would then make Sarah Smith the primary topic, showing her connections.

So, do any of you know whether a software / app / website for visually depicting social networks like this exists?

    Thanks!
